& Owner
I am a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of New Jersey and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Ohio University and a Master of Arts in Education in Communication Disorders at Eastern Kentucky University.
I specialize in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) and speech sound disorders. I have completed many hours of continuing education training including The Myo Method with Hallie Bulkin, M.A. CCC-SLP, QOM, COM and Simon Says Program - Tiny Tongue Tips with Jennifer Simon Triandafilou M.A. CCC-SLP. I am PROMPT trained as well as trained in Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) or Gestalt Language Processing.
I have provided speech and language therapy in early intervention with the birth to three population, outpatient pediatric hospitals with ages 1-21, preschool, elementary and middle schools. I have extensive experience servicing children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), articulation and phonological disorders (speech sound disorders), receptive/expressive language disorders, apraxia of speech, and developmental delays.
My intention is to provide a goal focused, holistic, evidence-based speech therapy practice for all children. I work to guide children and their families through the intervention process to help them discover the power of communication. I encourage parents and other family members to be a partner in the child's therapy journey. I want to make you feel confident in the process by giving you the tools you need to support your child's communication outside of the therapy session. The more support a child receives outside of the therapy session, the better the outcomes!
